Warwick Secondary and Berkeley Institute emerged as the senior and junior BSSF champions after Wednesday's finals.
Warwick Secondary beat Whitney Institute by five wickets in the over-14 final.
Scores: Whitney 127 for seven (28 overs), Warwick Sec. 133 for five (27 overs).
Warwick Sec. won the match in the penultimate dover with CARIFTA Games star Rohaan Simons showing his versatility by scoring 55 not out. Jomar Charles added 33 not out as the pair put on 66 runs in an unbroken sixth-wicket partnership. Ian Mullins earlier made 23. Nakia Smith led Whitney's bowling with two for 23.
Whitney's batting was led by Jahmiko Marshall on 19, with Smith and Sean Tucker scoring 17 apiece. Kareem Hollis took two for 17 for Warwick Sec. and Youth Squad bowler Dean Stevens bowled his five overs for only seven runs conceded. He took one wicket.
In the under-14 final, Berkeley stopped Whitney by four wickets. Scores: Whitney 97 for nine (25 overs), Berkeley 99 for six (24.3 overs).
Quinton Sherlock Jr., son of the former Southampton Rangers and Somerset Cup Stars and also a keen young golfer, struck 35 not out to pace Berkeley. He was ably supported by Javon Henries with 18.
Monte Harris took three for 10 for Whitney and Willis Raynor capped a good all-round performance with two for five. Earlier, Raynor led the Whitney batting with 15 while K.Hollis scored 14. Bayon Robinson took two for 10 for Berkeley who gave away 35 extras. ROAD RUNNING RUN The Second Annual Naval Air Station Fire Department's Runway 5-K benefit run will take place on Sunday, July 4 beginning at 7 p.m. The race will be held on the active runway with race day registration at 5 p.m. at the main gate area concession stand.
The event, which is sanctioned by the Bermuda Track and Field Association, will have a unique twist this year with rollerbladers permitted to race on the runway 15 minutes prior to the running event.
Registration forms for the event are available in Hamilton at either the Sportseller or Pro Shop. T-shirts will be given to the first 75 people to register and age group awards will be handed out to runners immediately following the race.
Anyone participating in the rollerbladers event must be experienced skaters and are required to wear appropriate safety equipment (helmet, gloves and knee pads).

Musceo Hunt was the winner of Saturday's Sandys Parish Community 10-K race from the Maritime Museum to White Hill field in 37:57. Second was Shaunty Paynter in 40:40 while Edward Harris was third in 41:08.
Marco Perinchief won the 5-K race in 18:05, beating Jelani Scott (19:42) into second place.
Clarence Smith was the winner of the Round Table 5-K race in 25:18 with Aubrey Simmons second in 26:15 and Bill Lathan third in 33:40.
Bermuda Pacers Track Club will be training at Horseshoe Bay at 9 a.m. today.
All members are to attend with full training gear.
TARGET SHOOTING SHO Carl Reid, with 194 out of a possible 200 points, was the top shooter at the Prospect Range on Wednesday. Tony Paynter and Anthony Rabain followed with scores of 192. Reid also has the distinction of being top shooter for May.
SOFTBALL SOF The Summer Softball League gets under way on Monday with the opening game taking place between Flyers and Anderson at 6 p.m.
At 7.30 p.m. Butterfield & Steinhoff will play Centre Re while Snow Balls meet Imperials at 9 p.m.
