Governors meeting starts today
concerns with the UK Government during a conference in Bermuda this week.
Six countries, including Bermuda, will take part in meetings with Sir Nicholas Bonsor, Britain's Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
The meetings are held on a regular basis and it is Bermuda's turn to play host.
Bermuda's Deputy Governor Peter Willis said: "The territories do have some common problems and these meetings give the Governors an opportunity to talk to the Minister and discuss their concerns with him.'' Governors attending the three-day conference include Frank Savage from Montserrat, John Owen from the Cayman Islands and David MacKilligan from the British Virgin Islands.
Former Bermuda Deputy Governor John Kelly will represent the Turks and Caicos where he is now Governor and Anguilla will be represented by Deputy Governor Bob Harris.
The conference takes place today, tomorrow and Saturday and in between official business the Governors will visit Dockyard and St. George's as well as taking part in social events.
