Flood grabs five goals against St David’s

Tuff Dogs opened up a substantial lead at the top of the Corona League table with a 4-1 win over second place BAA at BAA Field at the weekend.The league leaders had to come from behind to gain all three points, with Wanderers striker Damien Mendonza giving his side an early lead.Dogs responded to the setback with four unanswered goals courtesy of the league’s leading goalscorer Lamaul Crofton, who grabbed a brace, and solo strikes from Kenny Outerbridge and Yuseff Pitt.The lead at the top is now four points, with the Dogs also having two games in hand over BAA.Robin Hood dominated the match with a 6-1 victory against a spirited nine-man Vasco.Two goals from Olympic sailing hopeful Jesse Kirkland and Grant McKellar earned Hood a comfortable win.Lloyd Holder and Victor Richards were also on target for Hood, while Vasco’s scorer couldn’t be confirmed.Lobster Pot and West End United shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Dwight Basden’s bagged a brace for United.Henry Santucci and a Kahnai Fray penalty helped Pot earn a point.Lock N Key thrashed St David’s 11-1 with Temiko Flood scoring an impressive five goals in the hefty win.Helping out in the scoring department were Anthony Wolfe with a brace, and Gladstone Stovell, Brian Irvine, Quinton Basden and Damon Francis.North Village beat Flanagan’s Onions 5-0 with Nakia Smith continuing his recent scoring streak helping himself to hat-trick.Randy Simons and an own goal completed the rout for Village.
