CV Cafe branches out into breakfast, lunch
The CV Cafe in St George’s is now serving breakfast and lunch.Breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, sandwiches made to order and soups are on the menu.“CV Cafe has now taken over the full operation of the cafe,” owner Michelle Wales said. “We are now offering quality, freshly made and a fairly priced range of sandwiches, muffins, soup of the day, smoothies and much more!She and co-owner George Wales hope to soon offer waffles, crepes and panini, she said.Sweet SAAK Bakery, which formerly sold baked goods in the space next to CV Cafe and the Conscious Vibes store, have moved to their own shop on York Street.CV cafe opened last summer and offers everything from Fair Trade coffee and tea, to speciality drinks and Bailey’s ice cream.“We have used the store for launching various projects and the artists of Bermuda have ‘adopted us’.“It is where the St George's Artists Alliance was born,” Ms Wales noted, adding the ideas for the Art Walk in the East and Art on the Town came from that group.“Last year we held the meetings for the New Year's Eve event in St. George's and I believe that without a space like this for people to gather and ideas to evolve, some of these things might not have happened.”She said they had drawn on the helpful knowledge of Chef Peter at Viking Foods and wanted to thank him publicly for his help and advice.“We have worked extremely hard over the past year in developing our coffee side and hope that people will support us as we try and move into this unexpected new phase.”
