A defendant due to stand trial at Supreme Court on Monday for wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm pleaded guilty to a lesser offence and will be sentenced at a later date.Irving Butterfield, 38, of Sleepy Hollow Drive, Hamilton Parish, had denied attacking Damian Forbes and uttering threatening words to him between February 3 and 4.He was alleged to have said: “I’m going to kill you. I’m going to kill you. I’m going to get a f***ing hit put on you.”His lawyer Marc Daniels told The Royal Gazette yesterday that his client pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of simple wounding and was released on bail pending sentence.
