Belco shares jump
Two stocks advanced and two declined as the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange rose 36.34 points to close at 5,074.25.
The biggest mover was Belco as 100 shares were traded resulting in a $1.75 improvement in price to $25.00 as the shares moved up 7.5 percent in value.
Another utilities company KeyTech Limited also enjoyed a good day on the market with a 6.1 percent rise in value as 100 of its shares were also traded resulting in a 95 cent improvement in the closing price to $16.50.
Moving down 6.4 percent were shares in Bermuda Container Line as the value of shares dropped 95 cents to $14.00 following 100 being traded on the Exchange.
The other decliner was Butterfield Bank as it lost 25 cents a share to end the day at $58.25, a drop of 0.4 percent.
There was no change in $6.00 price for Kentucky Fried Chicken shares despite 3,000 being traded during the day, and neither was there any movement to MediaHouse Limited shares, which remained at $6.65 after 2,400 were traded.
The value of shares traded was $45,335 and the Exchange moved up 0.72 percent.
