A teenager has admitted causing grievous bodily harm to another young man following a stabbing in Sandys.Sherwin Hall, 18, admitted wounding Kyle Fraser, in a daylight attack near the Traditions Restaurant, on Middle Road, Sandys, last April 17.Mr Fraser, who was 17 at the time, received serious stab wounds to the chest and had to be flown overseas for medical treatment.Hall, from St David's, was originally charged with the more serious offence of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to do so.He denied that charge, and his trial was listed to begin this week. However, he admitted this morning to the lesser charge of causing GBH.Crown counsel Susan Mulligan said the Crown would offer no evidence on a second charge of having a knife in a public place.She gave no details about the case. Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves ordered a pre-sentence report and bailed Hall until a further court hearing on May 2, when a date will be fixed for his sentencing.
