Governor gets behind anti-drug effort
supporting Living Clean, Living Free, a community-based anti-drug effort.
The presentation at Government House was made to draw attention to the campaign's drug awareness day on Saturday, February 5 at the National Stadium.
Events begin with a 10 a.m. which include, five-kilometre walk through north Hamilton followed by an afternoon of free entertainment by local artists and speakers and overseas celebrities.
The $6 T-shirts are on sale at the MarketPlace, Lindo's, A-1, Modern Mart, Miles, the Shopping Centre, the Co-op and Whites & Sons.
Living Clean, Living Free is organised by members of public service departments including Police, Customs, Immigration, the US Naval Air Station and the Fire Services.
"We want to bring this community together from all walks of life to show we support the war against drugs,'' Police Sgt. John Dale, chairman of the coordinating committee, said.
