Clean up, Bermuda March 12, 1999

I returned to England on March 10 after spending ten days with my sister who is a resident of Bermuda. This was my seventh visit. My first was 26 years ago. I was so saddened to see how the standards of cleanliness has deteriorated. I saw bottles, cans and general litter while out walking, and dog owners allowing their pets to soil the paths.
Bermuda is such a beautiful island, being spoilt by uncaring people.
If the Tourism Board want to encourage visitors, then efforts should be made to clean up and smarten up.
Everyone is so friendly and it could be the most beautiful island as it was all those years ago.
