Created: Dec 18, 2006 10:00 AM
A Bill that will make it compulsory for accountants serving the Government to be members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda has been tabled in Parliament.
The new amendment would end the exclusion to membership of the ICAB that has previously been allowed for public accountants who have worked exclusively for a Government department.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda Amendment Act 2006 will also allow all documents signed on behalf of a corporate member to be signed in a company's name.
