Blazers and Town in cup final rehearsal
Devonshire Cougars v –North Village Rams
Cougars, barring a mauling from Village at home, will be crowned champions of this season and may not really be interested in this match.
Their goal difference is far superior to that of Dandy Town but skipper Kwame Steede will have his troops ready for one last battle, albeit in a more festive environment than those they have played in this term.
Village have finished the season with a good run of form and could sneak this one out knowing their opponents have already gone into party mood.
Building towards next year will be the Rams focus while Cougars will be looking to send coach Devarr Boyles out on winning, with the side already returning the League and Martonmere titles back to the 'Den'.
Prediction: Cougars 3-2
Boulevard Blazers v –Dandy Town Hornets
The game with the most implications of the day, with the winner striking a psychological blow to their opponents with only weeks left before their FA Cup showdown.
In their first league encounter, Blazers were sailing along 2-0 up at St. John's Field before Town struck four unanswered goals to snatch the three points on that occasion.
Raymond Beach will again spearhead the charge for Town who need a miracle to win the league title.
Beach currently has 25 goals in all competitions and Blazers will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on the marksman for the two games these sides are about to play in the space of the next three weeks.
Prediction: Draw
PHC Zebras v
Devonshire Colts
Could this be the end of the current Zebras side as we know it with a few players set to be missing for extended periods next year.
A total failure of a season saw them lift no trophies thus far, and only a win over landlords Southampton Rangers can bring some sort of justice to a team that were supposed to not miss a beat on their way to defending all the titles they pick up last year.
Colts have one goal at the moment – win their play-off tie and prepare for it with these matches left on their schedule.
Their last two outings have been much improved in comparison to their early season form, and could be a sign of things on the up at the club.
Skipper Aljame Zuill will hopefully be back in contention for the two-leg tie against third place opposition from the First Division, that hasn't been decided just yet.
Expect their energy and determination to show in this but a win could be asking too much.
Prediction: PHC 3-1
Hamilton Parish v Southampton Rangers
Southampton Rangers will get their Friendship final preparations for the showdown with PHC Zebras in order in this match with neither side having to play for anything.
Rangers have had a few weeks of intense football, clawing their way to a 3-2 win over Colts after being a goal down before being thrashed by Boulevard Blazers in the FA Cup semi-finals.
With a Parish side happy to be surviving the drop, this could be a recreational kick around for them with no real interest in he match apart from what is going on after the match.
Their inspirational win over Village last week was good for their confidence heading into next year, and they will be rightly proud of their accomplishments this term.
Prediction: Rangers 2-1
