Derek deChabert's Premier League football predictions
Devonshire Colts v Devonshire Cougars
Colts will be looking to make it two wins on the trot when the Devonshire derby takes place at Police Field tomorrow.
The division's cellar dwellers got in the win column for the first time last weekend in FA Cup action, beating Commercial League side Robin Hood.
However, this week is a different proposition with fierce rivals Cougars making the short trip in search of a remedy for their recent slump.
With key players returning after injury, the side will be nearing their full strength and be looking to keep pace with the leaders at the top.
Having skipper Kwame Steede back may make the side more potent in attack, but the focus of the side right now should be win at any cost.
Prediction: Cougars 3-0
Dandy Town v Hamilton Parish
League leaders Town will look to continue their rich vein of form when they host Parish who currently lie in fourth in the table.
Town have hit their stride just at the right time as the business end of the season is fast approaching.
After a confidence boosting victory against Cougars last time out, skipper Ernest Signor will undoubtedly have his troops ready for this battle.
And he'll be looking for the attacking trio of Wolffe, Russell and Beach to wreak havoc in this match.
The new boys to the league have more than held their own thus far in their campaign, although performances have been far from convincing as of late.
Minus the services of Kaiya Darrell for this clash that could see them go just one point behind their opponents with a win, they'll need to keep it tight in all areas if they are to get the result they want.
Prediction: Town 2-0
Southampton Rangers v PHC
Rangers have been getting results of late that suggest they can seriously challenge for some sort of silverware.
Still being in the FA and Friendship tournaments has bred confidence in their ability to get results and their last outing, a 2-1 defeat to North Village, showed that they are capable of beating top teams.
However, beating champions PHC will be a test of their character with the Warwick side seemingly out of their slump and getting positive results.
The first meeting between the two sides ended with Zebras winning 2-0 and they will be a good shout to duplicate that result.
But this isn't likely to be a one-sided match with both sides playing their home matches at the same venue.
Prediction: Draw
Boulevard v North Village
Boulevard will be looking to continue to apply pressure ono the teams above them with a vital three points against a North Village side, who seem rejuvenated in the second half of the season.
Should Boulevard be near the top when there is a handful of games left, goal difference may be key and they will be looking to Angelo Simmons to continue his scoring form and produce the goods needed to become champions
Shaun Goater's men will be looking to claw their way back into the title race with a win at home.
Five points behind Dandy Town and crucial games against all those ahead of them, Village can leapfrog Hamilton Parish and go one point behind third-placed Blazers.
Championship teams show up when games matter the most, so don't be surprised if this game starts off slowly and ends at a frantic pace, decided by a late goal.
Prediction: Draw
