Mothers balance home life with challenging careers

Boasting their modern approach of embracing the challenges of balancing home versus career, Independent Consulting Solutions have taken on two new consultants in their public relations and marketing divisions.

Delores Graham-Lunn and Carol Culver , both mothers of young children will provide event management, sales and internal communications to the company's clients.

Head of the company's PR and marketing, Glyn Hoskins-Turner , said the move was very timely.

"We are on the brink of a revolution that will provide the kind of opportunities professional women, who also have families, have been looking to secure in Bermuda,'' she said.

"Matching client needs with specific expertise as and when they need it, produces a win-win situation resulting in cost effective solutions for the client while providing the flexibility women need to balance their lives.'' Ms Lunn has over ten year's marketing experience with high profile companies in western Europe and Asia Pacific, and has established a chain of distribution outlets for Estee Lauder in Hong Kong.

Ms Culver has ten years experience at the front line of sales, having worked in the automotive, hotel and insurance industries.

*** OPL APPOINTS CASCIO BUC OPL appoints Cascio Overseas Partners Ltd. (OPL) have appointed Michael J Cascio as chief underwriting officer.

A co-founder of Stockton Reinsurance, Mr. Cascio has 20 years of insurance experience including senior management positions at Centre Re, Pinnacle Reinsurance, KPMG and Travelers Insurance Company.

*** NEWS EDITOR MOVES ON NJ News Editor moves on The Royal Gazette News Editor Carol Parker Trott will be leaving the company on January 31 to join XL Capital as Manager of Corporate Communications.

She has worked at the newspaper for 11 years, holding the posts of general news reporter, sub-editor, and News Editor. The latter post she has held since 1995.
