But the couple endured just a 15-minute wait before an Airport elevator technician sprang open the doors and brought them to safety.

The relieved visitors successfully caught their afternoon flight unharmed.

CARGO SHIP STOPS IN ST. GEORGE'S SHI Cargo ship stops in St. George's A ship packed with a mouthwatering cargo of frozen fruit juice and fresh grapefruit stopped in at St. George's yesterday en route to Holland.

The Barbadian registered ship Goose Bay arrived at about 2 p.m. yesterday from Port Canaveral in Florida and will remain berthed at Penno's Wharf to pick up technicians and bottles of refrigeration gas.

The 492-foot vessel is expected to depart today for Flushing, Holland.

PAGET HOTEL GUESTS HIT BY THIEF CRM Paget hotel guests hit by thief Police reported three incidents of breaking and entering and six stolen motor cycles between Friday night and Saturday.

Guests staying at a Paget hotel lost personal items, credit cards and cash when a thief broke into their room on Friday night, a Police spokesman said yesterday.

A Warwick club also reported a quantity of money was stolen overnight from the club premises.

Also in Warwick a resident reported she was woken by an intruder in the early hours of Saturday morning but the man appeared to have left empty-handed.

Police are investigating the incidents.

TEEN PLEADS GUILTY TO WOUNDING CTS Teen pleads guilty to wounding Eighteen-year-old Ki'Roy Kinte Butterfield pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding.

Butterfield, of Ratteray Lane, Sandys Parish, also admitted having an offensive weapon, namely a rock.

The charges relate to an incident in Warwick on October 13.

Magistrate the Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons adjourned the case for a social inquiry report, saying she would hear the prosecution's evidence later.

Butterfield was bailed and told to reappear before the court on May 5.

VISITOR ATTACKES IN CAR PARK CRM Visitor attacked in car park A 56-year-old US visitor suffered cuts and abrasions to her arms and legs when she was attacked in a hotel car park.

Police said the couple, who were staying at a guest accommodation in Southampton, were walking in the hotel car park around 6.30 p.m. on Thursday when a youth on a cycle came up and snatched the woman's handbag, pulling her to the ground.

The youth escaped on the cycle with the handbag, containing a undisclosed amount of cash, a camera, credit cards, spectacles, and other personal items.

Police are investigating the incident.

MAN FINED $500 FOR DOG OFFENCES CTS Man fined $500 for dog offences Not licensing his dog and letting the dog stray cost Olympic Club owner Mr.

Nick Jones $500 in Magistrates' Court last week.

Jones, 31, of Windy Ridge Road, Warwick, pleaded guilty to both charges.

Crown counsel Ms Nita Greywall told the court that on January 15, Jones allowed his dog to stray, and between September 1 and January 15 the dog was unlicensed.

The Police called in the dog warden when they discovered a dog on Harbour Road that was causing a hazard to the traffic, Ms. Greywall said.

The dog was taken to the Government kennel. Jones eventually came to collect it, and was charged with the offences.

Magistrate the Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons fined Jones $100 for not licensing his pet, and $400 for allowing the dog to stray.

"I find it frustrating that I can sit at Il Palio Restaurant and watch kids dealing drugs 200 yards from the Police Station,'' Jones said, "but when my dog takes a walk to visit his girlfriend, he gets fined $500.''
