Butterfield Bank’s common shares rose 4.28 percent (15 cents) to $3.65 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 200 shares during the day.

The only other traders were Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. and West Hamilton Holdings Ltd., which saw 10,000 and 29 shares change hands respectively.

The Index, as a whole, was up 26.21 points (1.29 percent) at 2,063.77, with 10,229 shares worth $53,520 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index slipped 6.38 points (0.66 percent) at 946.69.
