Butterfield drives BSX index to another new record

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index continued to rise yesterday, gaining 4.16 points to reach a new all-time high of 3,217.59 on a slow day of trading.
The rise was caused by Bank of Butterfield shares which gained 25 cents to finish at $44.50, 50 cents shy of its all-time high.
This was balanced by Argus Insurance shares falling 25 cents to $25.50. No other shares changed price.
The index rose 0.13 percent on a volume of 6,367 shares worth $196,525.
