New car buyers at HWP to receive up to $2,000 MarketPlace voucher

HWP Group has teamed up with MarketPlace, Butterfield and Freisenbruch-Meyer Group to launch a promotion with anyone who buys a new car winning a four-figure gift certificate and a gas voucher.The new promotion means that any customer who purchases a car at HWP Group during July and August this year will receive a $1,000 to $2,000 MarketPlace gift certificate depending on the car chosen.Customers will also benefit from a flat fee and a preferential rate when financing their vehicle with Butterfield and a $250 gas voucher with insurance from the Freisenbruch-Meyer Group.Tony Martin, senior vice-president, HWP Group, said: “We wanted to create a promotion that would help our customers. Purchasing a car for most people is an expensive outlay but can be a necessity for some families. We have a long-standing relationship with Butterfield and Freisenbruch-Meyer Group but the relationship with the MarketPlace is new and one which we think will be fruitful.”Scott Carswell, president of the MarketPlace, said: “The monthly government statistics make us all very cognisant of the fact it’s tough out there for the retail and automotive industries but most of all it’s tough for our customers. This deal helps us all.”Sean Lee, executive vice-president, head of Bermuda retail banking at Butterfield, said: “This is the second time we have partnered with HWP Group but the deal with the MarketPlace really ups the ante and will help to amplify the message.”William Madeiros, general manager, Freisenbruch-Meyer Group, said: “We are delighted to be involved with this promotion, which we think will benefit all the brands involved and most of all consumers.”The HWP Group is the authorised dealer in Bermuda for Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Skoda, Daihatsu, Subaru and Volkswagen.Jonathan Brewin, CEO of HWP Group, said: “We are always looking for other companies to partner with, and this is particularly exciting for us as it’s a huge deal and a first for Bermuda.”
