Homes scheme in Warwick
Businessman Thomas Powell is planning to build 22 apartments on a plot of family land in Warwick.
Mr. Powell has submitted plans to build the two and three bedroom apartments on a 4.8 acre site at Middle Road, adjacent to and behind White?s supermarket, going west.
Yesterday, Mr. Powell?s architect Erwin Adderley said: ?He has applied for approval in principle with a view to determining if we can put that development and that configuration in that spot. Once that is determined, we will concentrate on the details.?
The plans are for a two-storey development on the site, which is zoned residential two, but is also designated nature reserve, woodland reserve, and woodland.
?We are trying to preserve the woodland reserve areas and do a development sympathetic to the site, taking advantage of its characteristics,? added Mr. Adderley.
Mr. Powell, the owner of the Spot Restaurant and Canadian Hotel in Hamilton, could not be contacted for comment yesterday.
