Butterfield appoints new set of executive managers
Butterfield Bank has made a number of new executive appointments as part of a management reshuffle at the bank.
Curtis Dickinson has been appointed executive vice-president of wealth management, Jim Stewart as executive vice-president and chief risk officer, Bob Wilson as executive vice-president of Bermuda banking and Diane Brewer as senior vice-president of marketing and corporate communications.
In addition to his current responsibilities, Mr. Dickinson, who was most recently senior vice-president at the bank, will be responsible for Investment services and corporate trust in Bermuda.
He has more than 14 years of experience in the financial services industry in the US and the UK, including as a member of the Leveraged Finance Group at Wachovia Securities, where he was responsible for the origination and execution of leveraged finance transactions for corporate and private equity clients.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Mr. Dickinson was a director in the Media and Communications Investment Banking Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. (DLJ) (and its successor Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation) in New York and London, where he led execution teams for financing transactions and was responsible for ongoing client coverage.
Mr. Stewart, in addition to his duties as senior vice-president of enterprise risk management, will be responsible for the bank's credit risk functions.
He boasts more than 25 years of experience in financial services risk management and, prior to 1998, Mr. Stewart was a principal in two risk management consulting firms where he managed engagements for approximately 300 financial services firms, often on behalf of Underwriters at Lloyd's or other prominent insurers.
Mr. Wilson will take charge of all community and corporate banking functions at Butterfield Bank, having joined the bank in 1994 as senior lending manager with the bank's London subsidiary, before working his way up through the ranks to the post of senior vice-president of Bermuda banking.
Ms Brewer will be responsible for public and media relations, advertising, promotions and events, and management of the bank's brand.
Alan Thompson, president and CEO of Butterfield Bank, said: "I would like to congratulate Curtis, Jim, Bob and Diane on their appointments. These changes will help us further leverage the strengths of our highly experienced and knowledgeable management team and will position us for continued growth and market leadership."
