With five race days left, Pace will be hoping to return as quickly as possible so as not to jeopardise his championship hopes, especially with Robbie Smith and Buddy Joell pushing him hard.

Smith is four points out of third place and could move into third, behind Pace and second-placed Joell, after this weekend's competition.

Pace has 275 points, 43 points over Joell with Devon Moss in third on 164 and Smith fourth on 161.

In the 125 C class, Chris Maxwell is leading on 383 points, with brother Leroy second on 274 and Michael Burgess third on 164.

Kemo Smith has a 79-point lead over Jamel Hassell in the 80cc class with Shaki Easton a distant third on 161 points, 190 out of first place.

Donnie Moss and Duprey Joell are the only riders in the 250 C and B classes respectively.

GOLF GLF The NAS Youth Athletic Organisation will hold youth clinics for all aspiring golfers from ages six to 14.

The clinic will be conducted by local pros Kevin Benevides, Bruce Fraser and Stephen DeCosta of Castle Harbour on Saturday mornings at NAS, commencing on January 22 at 8.15 for approximately one hour. The clinic will last for six weeks.

Cost for the enire clinic will be $20 per person, including equipment.

Experienced youth golfers will have their lessons at Castle Harbour after the January 22 session. Only 35 places are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

One registration session will be held on Saturday at the NAS Bowling Centre between 11.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Registration and payment by a parent or guardian is due at that time.
