Fairmont recognises 18 ‘memory makers’
The Fairmont Southampton has recognised 18 employees for their outstanding performance during the months of March and April 2012.In a special ceremony held during the hotel’s All Colleague Luncheon on Wednesday, May 23, Fairmont Southampton employees who were nominated by guests and co-workers for going above and beyond in their duties were recognised as “Memory Makers.”“Our colleagues have accomplished what each of us aspires to in the hospitality industry; impressing our guests through impeccable service while earning the respect and admiration of those we work alongside,” said Nelda Simons, regional director for Human Resources at The Fairmont Southampton.“Our Star Colleagues Neil Virgil, Gayan Desilva, Gary Pitt and John Saltus are worthy of special praise for their leadership and team spirit in supporting their areas in providing outstanding service to our guests,” continued Ms Simons.The Fairmont Southampton “Memory Makers,” are nominated by guests and colleagues at the resort for creating a very special moment that has created a positive and lasting impression. Each Memory Maker received a $50 gift certificate to the store of their choice, and the Star Colleagues received $150 gift certificates.
