FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22: CedarBridge graduate Jerl Dill has become the first Bermudian to earn Red Seal certification for cooking after 11 years of work.

To earn the Red Seal, an internationally recognised Canadian standard for skilled workers, he had to complete 8,000 hours of work and pass multiple exams.

He started his career at The Reefs as a kitchen porter in 1999 and now works at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess as a chef de partie.

Labour Minister David Burch said: “This is one of those occasions everyone should celebrate.”
