Keivon Scott, 16, of Spice Hill Road, Warwick pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to two charges of breaking and entering.
The court heard how on May 5, Scott entered a home in Warwick through a sliding glass door and stole three bottles of liquor, three packs of cigarettes and $15 in cash.
On the second occasion, Scott broke into a home on Spice Hill Road in Warwick, but was confronted by the owner of the home. After a brief struggle, Scott made good his escape.
Acting on information received, Police officers searched the home of Scott where he lives with his grandparents. Scott was arrested and later admitted to the offences, saying that he needed to support his pregnant girlfriend.
When Scott appeared before Senior Magistrate Will Francis yesterday, he asked for seven other similar offences to be taken into consideration.
Scott also had a conviction for cycle theft in December of last year.
Mr. Francis ordered the preparation of a social inquiry report and Scott to return to court on August 11 for sentencing.
