Bishop triumphant again

in the Shell Divisional Handicap Tournament final to claim her second title of the year at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association courts in Devonshire.

Alexander was up against it from the start, conceding a deficit of 14 points per game to his rival, and slipped to a 15-3 defeat in the first game. His strategy of attempting to keep Bishop in a defensive position at the back of the court enabled him to claw back 11 points in a row in the second game but Bishop, showing admirable persistence, punished a number of loose shots with her dynamic volley kill to snatch it 15-11. The exasperated Alexander lost momentum and the third game by 15-3.

Eddie Redmond's superior stamina saw him through to the division two title, as he came from a game down to David Woodward to win 3-1, while renowned fighter Lisa Lea Ray completed an astonishing comeback to snatch the division three title from under Fletcher Cocquyt's nose.

Cocquyt seemed set for victory after winning the first two games and serving at 14-all in the third. But his serve took the ball over the top of the glass-back court and allowed Ray back into the match. It was an opportunity she didn't waste as she took the fourth and fifth games 15-11.

In the fourth division, junior player Tallent Clark outplayed Steve Pozzobon 15-5, 15-9, 15-8.
