Cell phones, cash stolen
Two cell phones, cash and cards were stolen from a parked car in Hamilton. A Police spokesman said the victims had parked their car on Burnaby Hill at around 5 p.m. on Sunday and when they returned discovered the items were missing. Inquires are underway and anyone with information should call the Police on 295-0011.
Cycle thieves caught in the act
Police chased two men who were trying to remove parts from a Suzuki motorcycle at Somers Wharf in St. George's.
A Police spokesman said one of the men was seen pulling at the cycle's leg shield while the other was sitting on the seat. As the officers approached, the man pulling at the bike stood up and then both men ran off in opposite directions. Police were able to catch one of the men while the other escaped.
Stolen fruit peddled door-to-door
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for night farmers selling produce door to door. A Police spokesman said a woman had reported that a man came to her house trying to sell fruits and vegetables. Anyone with information should contact Police on 295-0011.
Man stabbed in Middle Town
A Jamaican national was stabbed under his armpit with an ice pick as he rode through Pembroke. A Police spokesman said the incident occurred when he was riding through Middle Town at 6 p.m. last week. The Police said the wound was not life threatening and inquires into the incident are underway.
Cash, jewels stolen
Cash and jewellery were stolen from a parked cycle's storage unit last week. A Police spokesman said the cycle was parked on Tribe Road 5, which leads to Elbow Beach between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Further investigations into the incident are underway and anyone with information should telephone the Police on 295-0011.
