Diamond ring stolen in robbery

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said an Ord Road, Paget, couple awoke to discover that someone had entered their home during the night and removed a diamond ring.

And a Fairylands resident was targetted by a thief on Friday night.

The woman had returned home and placed her handbag on the kitchen table while she went into another room. When she returned a few minutes later she discovered that someone had entered and removed a quantity of cash from her purse.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the victim was riding a motor cycle on Mullet Bay Road in St. George's around 1.30 a.m. yesterday when the accident took place.

He was taken to the hospital suffering from head injuries and detained for observations.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said a 40-year-old woman told Police that the man came into the bar, shortly before 1 a.m., and grabbed her from behind in an indecent manner.

The suspect was later located and arrested in connection with the incident.

GIRL, 8, RAN INTO PATH OF PEDAL CYCLE AC Girl, 8, ran into path of pedal cycle An eight-year-old girl was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Saturday evening after colliding with a pedal cycle.

Police spokesperson P.c. Gary Venning said the girl ran out of a private residence on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's -- just east of Harrington Sound School -- and into the path of pedal cycle.

The child was taken to the hospital with cuts and abrasions.
