An irate man has threatened to kill members of the Transport Control Department and Government if they step onto his property.

Mr. Abdul Furquan, who said he was an Islamic missionary, told The Royal Gazette yesterday that a car parked in his yard was unfairly ticketed by TCD which claims the car has been abandoned. And they have given him 15 days to move it.

But, Mr. Furquan said the car, which has been in his yard for a few months, is being repaired for a friend and is awaiting spare parts from Ford Motors.

"I am fed up with the disrespect Government has against Moslems. The first person that comes poking around this car will be killed. I am a Moslem and I am prepared to die for that.

"I am sick and tired of Government and their contempt for Moslems.'' Mr. Furquan added: "We don't bother anyone. We purchased a building from the Catholics for Moslem teaching and the Government condemned it, but it was not condemned when the Catholics had it.

He also said that last week he went to TCD and informed them that he was working on the car.

"I also said if they ticket the car there was going to be a war on and because they did, if they step on the war zone I will kill them. It is an Islamic right to kill them if they are on my property.

"And if they are man enough, they should come back to the war zone.'' Mr.

Furquan added: "We are waiting for Independence so we can bring all the members of Government, especially Sir John and former Premier the Hon. Sir David Gibbons, to trial in a world court so they can be judged for the things they have done to people.'' When contacted, director of Transport Control Mr. Donald Dane said he was not worried about Mr. Furquan's threats.

"Section 68 of the Transport Control Act gives us the right to put a tag on abandoned vehicles giving the owner 15 days to move it.

"Mr. Furquan and I will talk when he has calmed down,'' Mr. Dane added.
