Burglars strike homes overnight
thieves between Sunday evening and midnight Monday, a Police spokeswoman reported yesterday.
An apartment at the Panorama complex on South Road, Paget was entered after 9 p.m. on Sunday when the male occupant went to bed.
He awoke the following morning to find that someone had gone into his wallet, which was left on a side table, and removed all the money.
Also in Paget, a resident couple at Loughlands Guest House reported the theft of money from their wallets after they went to bed at 10.30 p.m. on Sunday.
Elsewhere a brazen thief burgled a Frascati Lane, Smith's residence while the occupants were at home at 10 p.m. on Monday.
The male complainant said he heard a noise from one of the bedrooms but did not investigate. When the female complainant entered the bedroom she found it had been broken into and some cash had been taken.
Meanwhile a North Shore Road, Devonshire resident reported that her wallet containing cash and personal items was taken while she was out between 7.30 p.m. and 11.30 p.m. on Monday.
And entry to a Westdale Lane, Southampton residence was gained through an unsecured door during the day on Monday and a Sony Playstation was stolen from a bedroom.
