The Bermuda Technology Education Collaborative (B.TEC) has appointed Kristin White as project manager.

Ms White, pictured right, was previously the local programmes and marketing coordinator for the Bermuda International Business Association (BIBA).

Mrs. Maxine Esdaille, senior education officer, curriculum and instructional leadership and co-chair of the B-TEC Steering Committee said: “I am sure that Kristin will be an asset to the B-TEC initiative. I have worked with her on a number of projects and have found that she is extremely creative and organised. I know that she will bring these talents to her role as project manager for B-TEC. She has already started to generate new ideas and projects for the initiative. I gladly welcome her aboard and look forward to working with her.”

After graduating from Berkeley Institute and the Bermuda College, Ms White pursued an Economics and Statistics degree from McGill University in Montreal.

B.TEC is a collaborative initiative between the public and private sector. Formerly known as the XL/Bermuda Education Initiative, the organisation works to bring cutting edge technology into the education system, working along with Stanford University and University of Virginia to create and deliver innovative curricula. With over 70 corporate partners, B.TEC prides itself as a good example of what can be achieved in Bermuda public/private partnerships.
