Shares of One Communications Ltd fell 10 cents, or 2.4 per cent, to $4 after 24,200 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

Also losing ground were shares of Somers Limited, which were down 50 cents, or 3.8 per cent, to $13.50 after 1,200 changed hands.

On the New York Stock Exchange, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 68 cents, or 2.96 per cent, at $22.26.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 4.7 points, or 0.26 per cent, at 1,802.23, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 10.55 points, or 0.78 per cent, at 1,350.5
