BTC to showcase latest Internet technology
Telephone company BTC will next week host a tradeshow to showcase the latest Internet technologies.
The company, in a Press statement released yesterday, said that the event would feature the latest information on Broadband, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology and Internet Protocol (IP) technology.
The tradeshow ? ?Access Broadband Showcase 2004? ? kicks off on Tuesday at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel.
?Everyone can benefit from this interactive communications forum? said Dennis Emery, BTC marketing manager.
He added: ?Visitors will be able to see firsthand how technology can transform their lives. Whether its home monitoring, games, video instant messaging or business applications, the latest technologies will be available for visitors to see and try.?
A keynote address will be made by Sir Terence Matthews, chairman of March Networks Corporation, a leading developer of interactive broadband IP applications.
This ?self-made, self-styled executive? was named one of the world?s top 500 billionaires by Forbes business magazine for 2004. He will be speaking about his experiences in the global telecommunications industry.
BTC CEO and president Francis Mussenden will introduce Sir Terence.
The exhibit floor opens on Tuesday at 1 p.m., and is open to the public.
