Two visiting private schools from Canada found the going tough during the opening matches of their tours, both hosted by Saltus.

Albert College twice lost 4-0 on Friday and Saturday, beaten by a BSSF Select in the first match as Cory Dowling scored twice, while Damon Ming and Tyrone Smith netted one apiece.

The visitors' next outing saw them suffer a similar fate at the hands of their hosts as Ricky Carruthers tallied twice -- once from the penalty spot -- while other goals came from Ryan Matcham and Chris Dawson.

Ridley College, meanwhile, were at least were able to force a 0-0 draw in their opening contest, but were then beaten 3-1 by the BSSF Select.

Ridley dominated the early stages, taking the lead when Chris Lewis' misdirected back-pass rolled past goalkeeper Tommy Smith.

However, BSSF came back with three unanswered strikes from Vincent Minors, Cory Dowling and Lewis, who made up for his earlier error of judgment.
