commemorates the fallen soldiers who fought for freedom in two World Wars.

Governor Thorold Masefield and Premier Jennifer Smith will lead dignitaries and representatives of the local security services in a wreath laying ceremony shortly before 11.11 a.m.

Before then there will be a parade through the streets of Hamilton and roads will be closed for much of the morning to parking.

Traffic will be stopped at all major intersections in the city for the duration of the march to and from the Cenotaph.

In addition Front Street will be closed to traffic between King and Queen Streets from 10.10 a.m. until the marching units have passed onto Queen Street on their way back to City Hall.

Buses will be diverted up Spurling Hill and will travel along Reid Street until the marchers have dispersed.

`No entry' signs will be placed at the junction of Reid Street and Burnaby Hill, blocking traffic from getting to Front Street.

Beginning from 6 a.m., there will be no parking on Front Street between Queen and Court Streets, Parliament between Front and Reid Streets, and on Reid Street between Court and Parliament Streets.

Court Street between Reid and Front Streets will also be closed to parking as will the turn around area on Point Pleasant Road and Church Street opposite the Anglican Cathedral.

All traffic in the vicinity of the ceremony will be stopped at 11 a.m. until the observation of two minutes silence is over.

There are three parade routes with Units One and Two moving from City Hall parking lot along Church Street to Court Street and entering the Cabinet Building grounds via the East Gate.

Parade Unit Three will leave the City Hall parking lot and turn onto Church Street, head south onto Queen Street and then onto Front Street to the Cenotaph.

All units will march back to the City Hall parking Lot via Front, Queen, and Church Streets at three-minute intervals.
