Twenty-two-year-old Wayne Che Perinchief appeared at Magistrates' Court with Sean Charles Smith.

The pair were allegedly involved in an incident at Admiralty House Park, Spanish Point, on August 9.

They denied allegations of riotous behaviour, assaulting Insp. Stephen Petty, acting offensively, and damaging a display cabinet and door at the Sub Aqua Club.

In addition, they pleaded not guilty to preventing the public from using North Shore Road by "excessive, unreasonable, and temporary'' use of the highway.

They further denied damaging a Police vehicle's ignition key and indicator.

Perinchief, of Zuill's Park Road, Smith's, was additionally charged with assaulting Anna Marie Sheriff, violently resisting arrest, and assaulting P.c.

Kuhn Evans. He denied the offences.

Smith, 23, of North Shore Road, Pembroke, faced five other charges, all of which he denies.

These were violently resisting arrest, escaping custody, assaulting P.c. Kuhn Evans, assaulting Insp. Stephen Petty, and damaging Police shirts and handcuffs.

The pair were represented by Mr. Archie Warner.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis bailed the youths for $600 each.

He set a trial date for 9.30 a.m. on January 11, 1994.

Wayne Che Perinchief yesterday denied riding an uninsured and unlicensed bike on Middle Road, Devonshire, on December 31 last year.

He also pleaded not guilty to fraudulent use of traffic documents.

A December 16 trial date was fixed.
