Thirteen students from a majority of schools on the Island will be travelling to New York City on Good Friday to attend the UN Youth Conference.

Scientists and conference organisers were impressed when several Bermudian students participated in a Renewable Energy conference at the Bermuda Biological Station last year.

The students, aged 13 to 16, are Porsia Cepeda, Zane Grizzle, Taqwa Talbot, Attiwa Talbot, Sabrina Smith, Laverity Davis, Renee Harvey, Taylor Heron, Estina Francis, Karissa Roberts, Keegan Stirling and Kyle Wheatley.

Trip organiser, Cindy Hamlin of Whitney Middle School, said the students will arrive back in Bermuda on April 21.

Class reporters, and siblings, Taqwa and Attiwa Talbot will file a report the following week in Young Observer .
