"Within three short years I transitioned from a credit analyst to an assistant vice president."

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Organisational & Counseling Psychology, Talitha Davis' primary focus was actually to repay all her student loans.

Mrs. Davis began at Butterfield as a temporary staff member before becoming a full-time customer service administrator. However, she said it was not too long before another opportunity presented itself.

"A manager within the Bank recommended that I interview for a credit trainee position. After a successful interview, I commenced my credit training experience. The journey lasted 18 months and I was placed in the Private Banking Department as a credit analyst."

Her enjoyment of working in credit began in Private Banking, and grew as she worked alongside senior lenders who provided her with a great foundation.

"This foundation, together with good work ethic, determination, enthusiasm and a positive attitude resulted in a fast track career through Private Banking.

"Within three short years I transitioned from a credit analyst to an assistant vice president, with management responsibilities. During these three years I also successfully completed my MBA through a distance learning at the University of Liverpool."

What would she say to any young person with aspirations? Never let anything stand in the way of their dream.

"The MBA programme for me was not an easy journey. Butterfield supported my dream, by providing both funding and adequate study time to ensure that I was successful."

She enjoys the fact that no two days are ever the same. "Each day brings new challenges and exciting growth opportunities.

"I work with an amazing group of people. The on-the-job training that I get is continuous. In Private Banking we pride ourselves on creating a specialised service for all of our clients."
