Hiscox Re recruits Williams from Markel

Hiscox has appointed Marlon Williams to serve as a senior property underwriter within its Hiscox Re & ILS division.
Mr Williams has nearly 20 years’ experience in the industry and joins from Markel, which closed it property catastrophe unit in Bermuda last month.
He most recently served at Markel as senior vice-president, international property catastrophe underwriter.
Before that, Mr Williams spent time as a catastrophe analyst at Alterra Capital.
Daniel Vestergren, chairman of international for Hiscox Re & ILS, said: “We are excited to welcome Marlon to the team.”
“His talent and international experience will enhance the already strong team we have at Hiscox.”
