Breaking News: Man in intensive care after robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery that left a 22-year-old man in intensive care.
Police said that at 12.10 p.m. yesterday they had a report of a robbery at a home on Convict Bay Lane, St. George’s.
A Police spokesman said: “During the robbery a struggle ensued between one of the suspects and one of the occupants where the suspect used a blunt object to assault the victim.
“The other suspect brandished a bladed article at the second individual in the house. The suspects then escaped with a quantity of cash and jewelry. The bladed article was later recovered by Police.”
The victim, a 22-year-old George's man, was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment for head and facial injuries. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in a stable condition.
The second person in the house, a 17-year-old Hamilton Parish man, was not injured.
Police said one suspect, an 18-year-old Hamilton Parish man, later turned himself in at Southside Police Station and was arrested in connection with the incident.
A second suspect, a 23-year-old Sandy’s parish man, was later found by Police and arrested in connection with the incident.
