Bermuda triumphed over England by five runs in the semi-final of the 20-20 World Cricket Classic last night ? a victory which prompted wild celebrations from the thousands of supporters who flocked to the National Sports Centre.
In an incredibly tense and dramatic climax, England needed six runs off the very last ball of the game, chasing Bermuda's respectable total of 143 for five off their 20 overs.
But England's Graham Lloyd only managed a single from the delivery bowled by Lionel Cann, handing Bermuda a place in the final on Saturday evening where they will play either South Africa or New Zealand for the Classic Crown.
"It was a great game of cricket ? the guys responded so well to the pressure" said national coach Gus Logie afterwards.
