Bruce A. Gibbons, 38, spent last Wednesday night in custody after pub managers called Police because he was getting rowdy.

Crown counsel Cindy Clark told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner: "He appeared to be drunk.'' Gibbons, of Wreck Road, Sandys, was brought into Magistrates' Court yesterday in Police custody.

The court heard that at about 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday, Police officers and pub management asked him to leave the bar.

After getting across the road, Gibbons shouted: "You can all f*** off. Do you hear, f*** off.'' When Police arrested him, he said: "I don't give a f***.'' Gibbons has a previous record of using offensive words in public -- dating back to 1996.

He told Mr. Warner: "Alcohol changes people and alcohol is served there. I shouldn't have cursed out the Police.'' Mr. Warner said: "I think that night in the cells was good enough for you'' before releasing Gibbons on conditional discharge for 12 months.
