A floating condo for the world’s well heeled is visiting Bermuda.The World arrived yesterday, and will be docked on Front Street for three days.The ship serves as a residential community owned by its residents. They live on board as the ship slowly circumnavigates the globe, staying in most ports from two to five days.According to a press officer for the ship, there are 130 families on board from 19 countries around the world.It is the only private residential community-at-sea. Since it first set sail in 2002, The World has visited more than 800 ports in approximately 140 countries and it spans the globe every two to three years. Among the luxuries available on board are a spa, library, cinema and sports centre.
