Bermuda politicians attend conference in Grenada
A delegation of Bermudian politicians are in Grenada as part of the Regional Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference.The 36th annual conference began on Saturday and ends Thursday.Minister of Government Estates and Information Services Neletha Butterfield is leading the delegation, which also includes Government Whip Lovitta Foggo, UBP leader Kim Swan and Senator LaVerne Furbert.They are expected to meet with representatives from 14 other member countries.The group will discuss how to give parliamentarians the skills to adapt to the changing environment and encourage public participation.Also attending the conference will be two Bermuda Youth Parliamentarians, Nicole Wilson and Vashon Williams. The pair will be participating in the 8th regional Youth Parliament Debate tomorrow.
