Taste 141 launches new menu
The owners of Taste 141 at Seon Place have revamped the menu and added a new selection of grab-and-go sandwiches and wraps.Head chef Tammy Jones says the emphasis is on “healthy and fresh ingredients” at Bermuda’s newest Bistro and Bar, open daily during the week for breakfast and lunch and also in the evening for happy hour and light dinner small plates/tapas.Taste co-owner Reed Young, who also owns Docksider Pub & Restaurant, said the bistro wanted to cater to the office crowd who work in the building as well as others in the city looking for an intimate and casual setting for lunch or a light evening meal.He added Taste also catered events onsite or off, and was a great location for cocktail parties for up to about 80 people and small dinner parties for around 35. They can also cater breakfast meetings and have full hook up for laptops for power point presentations.He said happy hour at Taste features different choices of beer and wine and a special cocktail of the day.Mr Young said he wanted to emphasis plenty of parking was available near Seon Place, in lots on Front Street and Cavendish and also on-street. And he noted most of his staff at Taste were Bermudians, including manager Nakia Wolffe.The lunch menu now includes sandwiches, wraps and salads starting at $7, including popular the Taste club, fajita wrap and truffle oil egg salad sandwich.Other lunch fare includes the classic fish sandwich and Taste steak sandwich, jerk chicken sandwich, plus a maple roasted salmon salad.Small plates include Ms Jones’ famous homemade bacon jam crostini, Thai mussels, truffle fries, fried green tomatoes, and her Mozza Mia mozzeralla salad with a balsamic glaze.
