Nicholas O'Hara, 34, of Sandycroft Lane, was working at Spar Yard Industries when Police arrived with a search warrant after receiving a tip-off. The supervisor in charge escorted Police through the premises and plant material was found in O'Hara's bag.
Subsequent analysis showed it to be 1.17 grams of cannabis.
O'Hara apologised for the inconvenience to the court and said the incident had been a one-off and would not happen again.

Jermain Lovell, 22, was also ordered to pay his outstanding traffic fines forthwith.
Lovell, of Fruitland Lane, Pembroke, had $1,250 in fines going back to 1997.
He asked Mr. Warner for time to pay and said he always made sure he paid his fines.
Mr. Warner said: "You always pay your fines? So what happened between 1997 and now?'' In addition to his unpaid fines Lovell pleaded guilty to not having a valid driver's licence on March 9 and was ordered to pay $200.

Analysis found the material to be 6.72 grams of cannabis.
When asked if he had anything to say, Stewart said: "Since this I have been trying to get my life back together. I have a job and have been active with the Bermuda Regiment.'' "So you'll leave weed alone?'' asked Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner.

Derek Furbert, 29, was brought into Magistrates' Court yesterday on a warrant for an outstanding fine of $50.
"You let your self be locked up for $50?'' asked Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner.
Furbert shrugged his shoulders and gave no reply.
He then pleaded guilty to the new charge of being drunk and incapable. The court heard that Police officers were called to Cherry Dale in October, 1998, after residents complained of a man making strange noises outside.
Officers found Furbert curled up on the side of the road making strange sounds and he was too drunk to answer their questions.
Furbert had two previous convictions for the same offence and had received a conditional discharge for one and a $150 fine for the other.
Mr. Warner asked Furbert if he was still getting drunk.
"Not like that your honour,'' Furbert replied.
"This was a long time ago,'' Mr. Warner said. "I'm going to give you a conditional discharge, but you have to pay my $50 today.'' Later in the session Furbert was brought back before Mr. Warner for an additional $320 in unpaid fines which he was also ordered to pay forthwith.

Police observed Madeira swerving from side to side on his cycle and said he had almost hit the curb.
Police stopped Madeira and saw he was unsteady on his feet, his breath smelled of alcohol and his eyes were red and glazed.
When asked by Police if he had been drinking, Madeira replied that he had had "one or two''.
When Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner asked him if he had anything to say, Madeira replied: "Sorry.'' He was then fined $500 and disqualified from driving.
