Swim relay a Bermuda first
when the End of Summer event takes place at Horseshoe Bay.
The race will involve up to 30 two-person teams, each swimming the half-mile course twice before finishing in a sprint along the beach.
Teams already registered include Duncan Newby and Ronald Cowen, both winners of their respective age groups in the Summer Swim series, triathletes Steven Donnelly with Jamie Jared, Laurie Orchard with Karen Meyer and Masters swimmers Mike Parrish with Jim McNichols.
Entries can be submitted at Sportseller today for $5 and at the start tomorrow for $10. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male, female and mixed teams overall. Participants must be at least 12 years old.
The annual Trunk Island swim, postponed last month because of bad weather, is rescheduled for this Sunday, starting at 2.00 p.m.
All swimmers who originally entered will be eligible to compete and new entries will be taken either at Sportseller in Hamilton or at the BASA pool.
Late entries, at an increased fee, will be accepted on Sunday at the Palmetto Hotel.
The last boat for the start line leaves Palmetto at 1.40 p.m.
