Elbow joins Leading Hotels
Boston's Ritz-Carlton on a prestigious list of properties from around the world.
The exclusive international group Leading Hotels of the World has made Elbow Beach one of its newest members, a status that has been awarded to only 315 properties.
Elbow Beach front desk manager Theresa Richards said: "This is a culmination of all our hard work over the past few years. It is a reward for work well done.
"It makes me feel great to have our efforts publicly recognised by a group like the Leading Hotels of the World.'' Hotels seeking to join the Leading Hotels of the World must apply for admission as it does not solicit new members.
In order for a hotel to be considered for inclusion, it must be in the deluxe/luxury category and meet exacting standards with respect to accommodation, service, cuisine and facilities.
From amongst the applicants, a limited number are chosen to undergo inspection.
Elbow Beach spokeswoman Kendaree Burgess-Fairn noted: "Although Leading Hotels of the World does not publish its criteria, it is known that they scrutinise guest rooms, public spaces and food and beverage operations with particular attention given to staff training and levels of service.'' Top job: Elbow Beach recently joined the membership list of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World organisation.
