Man turns in money
Police.
And they are calling for the owner to come forward.
Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the money was found yesterday around 4.15 p.m. on a sidewalk at Pitt's Bay Road in Pembroke, near York House.
While declining to reveal the amount of money found, P.c. Venning said it was not in an envelope -- simply folded over.
The owner is asked to contact the Hamilton Police Station. He or she must be able to identify the amount and denominations.
MAN INJURED IN BAR CRM Man injured in bar Police are hunting a woman suspected of smashing a glass into a man's face at a Front Street bar.
The 39-year-old victim, from Pembroke, suffered facial injuries during the assault at The Beach early yesterday.
Officers said the attack happened after the man started arguing with the woman at around 1.45 a.m. He was later released from hospital. Anyone with information should contact Police on 295-0011.
SCOOTER DAMAGE IN FIRE FIR Scooter damage in fire A scooter was badly damaged in an early morning fire yesterday.
Firefighters from the Clearwater Fire Station were called to the incident at Wellington Hill, St. George's, at 5.32 a.m.
They found a Vespa scooter ablaze, and using dry powder extinguished the fire.
There was damage to the engine, rear fender and wheel.
A Bermuda Fire Service spokesman said the cause of the fire was mechanical.
