for 18 months and $450 yesterday.

Phillip Burrill, of Pitt's Bay Road, Pembroke, pleaded guilty to the offence in Magistrates' Court.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Anthony Mouchette said Police on patrol on July 26 saw Burrill drive through a red light at the junction of Reid and Court Streets.

Sgt. Mouchette said a breathalyser test showed Burrill had at least 152 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.

Burrill asked to keep a licence for an auxiliary cycle because his job as public accountant required him to visit people all over the Island. Senior Magistrate Will Francis only banned Burrill from driving motorcycles, allowing him to drive auxiliary cycles and cars.
