DeRoza, Smith make court appearances

Justis Smith, 17, charged with the premeditated murder of Canadian schoolgirl Rebecca Middleton in July last year, was remanded in custody until May 1 for mention.

Justis Smith, 17, charged with the premeditated murder of Canadian schoolgirl Rebecca Middleton in July last year, was remanded in custody until May 1 for mention.

Smith, of Deepdale Road East, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to the killing at an earlier appearance.

And Damon DeRoza -- accused of the premeditated murder of his five-year-old daughter Lynae Brown -- pleaded not guilty to the charge.

DeRoza, 20, of Cedar Hill, Warwick, was remanded in custody for mention on May 1.
