Romel Crockwell, 16, of Aeolia Drive, Devonshire, admitted the offences which both took place on October 30.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor told Magistrates' Court on Wednesday that Crockwell was arrested by Police around 3.40 p.m. on Reid Street.

She had been caught stealing a Polo Sport jacket and two pairs of pants worth $284 from A.S. Cooper and a $30 corduroy jacket from Knick Knack.

Magistrate Arthur Hodgson granted bail at $500 with a surety and ordered a social inquiry report. Crockwell is to be sentenced on February 18.

TEEN FINED FOR DRUGS CTS Teen fined for drugs A Sandys Parish teenager pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to possessing cocaine.

Jermaine Rumley, 18, of Spring Benny Road, admitted having 0.18 grams of cocaine with 86 percent purity in his wallet on September 13.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor told the court on Tuesday that Police officers on mobile patrol saw Rumley disobey a stop sign and arrested him. He was taken to Somerset Police Station where the officers found one rock of cocaine in his wallet.

Magistrate Arthur Hodgson fined Rumley $250 and warned him to stay away from drugs.

MAN WAS OVER THE LIMIT CTS Man was over the limit A St. George's man who was more than three times over the legal drunk driving limit was banned from driving for a year.

Kenneth DeSilva, 35, of Cove Valley Lane, admitted the September 20 offence when he appeared in Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said that at around 5.20 p.m., a Police officer on pedal cycle patrol saw DeSilva coming out of St. George's Liquor Store. He then got onto a livery cycle and rode off along York Street.

The officer followed DeSilva and stopped him at the Rose Hill gas station where he arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving.

DeSilva was taken to Hamilton Police Station where a breath sample revealed that he had at least 296 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood -- the legal limit is 80 milligrams.

DeSilva told the court that he was a self-employed painter and required a van for work.

Magistrate Arthur Hodgson fined him $450 and banned him from riding all cycles for 12 months.

SHOPLIFTER FINED $450 CTS Shoplifter fined $450 A Pembroke woman was fined $450 for stealing three jackets from a Hamilton store.

Chantelle Davis, 19, of Cedar Avenue, admitted the offence, which took place at Pirate's Port on November 22.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor told Magistrates' Court that Davis was seen at Pirate's Port taking three jackets and a pair of trousers into a changing room and only putting the trousers back on a rack.

She was stopped outside the store where the jackets -- worth $184.50 -- were found in a shopping bag.
